One of the most sought after electric drill, in the market, is the Milwaukee 1680-21 drill. Drilling is essential in construction. Therefore, those involved in construction should have the right kind of drill. There are numerous designs of the drill that are available in the market, to suit different needs.
The drill is driven by power from the main outlet and, hence, is generally used in places where more power is required. In places where the working hours are stretched, this tool is preferred. Power is the main reason why this drill is preferred, even if it is being used for a variety of reasons.
The Motor Has Been Systemized To Operate At Two Different Speeds
The Milwaukee 1680-21′s power is supplied by a 13-amp, 120-Volt rated motor. In order to ensure that there is uninterrupted power supply during working, Milwaukee has customized the motor accordingly. The motor has been systemized to operate at two different speeds. A high gear and a low gear are the range between which the motor works. The speeds that the drill offers are, thus, 17590 RPM and 450 RPM.
A clutch has been provided, at the low gear range, for seamless change over from one speed to another. Both the speeds have been incorporated to ensure that the user gets the required speed from the tool. For increased productivity, the high-speed range has been provided in the tool.
The Bit Known As The Hole-Saw Has A 5-inch Capacity
Any size of holes can be drilled, into wooden constructions, with the Milwaukee 1680-21. Although the drill is mainly utilized in wooden structures, it can also be used with ½-inch metal twist bit as well. The other bits also have different capacities to work with. The self-feed bit has a 4-5/8 inch capacity, while the bit known as the hole-saw has a 5-inch capacity. However, this can be altered according to the needs of the user.
Tool Has Been Fitted With The Roto Lock handle
Ease of use has been kept in mind while designing the Milwaukee 1680-21. For utmost comfort, the tool has been fitted with the Roto Lock handle. The handle also offers a firm grip, as it has anti-slip properties; thus, increasing the safety in using the drill. Incorporation of the front T-bar also increases the comfort of using the tool.
Removable Side Handle For Increased Control
As the tool needs to be used for different applications at various angles, the handle has been provided with various features to achieve them. The handle can take three positions, for increased comfort, depending on the application. The Milwaukee 1680 handle can take a 90-degree position, to the left or right. In addition to the three positions, there is also a removable side handle for increased control.
The Milwaukee 1680-21 is easy to work with, in terms of control and handling. The other features that makes it unique are the comfort-grip switch handle and the easy-turn gear changer.
